Our Halloween 2023 Studio Recital was a frightfully fun event! Held at Kerrytown Concert House, we had 15 performers, each bringing their unique flair to the recital with creative costumes and spooky music selections. The recital was a perfect blend of music and Halloween excitement, and I’m grateful to everyone who participated and made it such a success. Happy Halloween!
Our Spring 2023 Studio Recital was a wonderful event, showcasing the incredible progress our students have made. Held in-person at Kerrytown Concert House, the recital featured 22 performers who delivered stunning performances of pieces ranging from Classical to modern. With an audience of over 100, the recital was a vibrant celebration of music and achievement. A special shoutout to Simon, who played his piece with just his right hand after breaking his left thumb – an inspiring example of perseverance and dedication. Well done to all our students!
This past weekend I had the privilege of leading five performances of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Patience (or, Bunthorne’s Bride)” with the University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society. This was my sixth time as Music Director with this group, and I’m so grateful to our cast and crew for all their hard work and talents.

Our Holiday 2022 Studio Recital was a heartwarming event that brought our community together to celebrate the season. We had 15 performers, each presenting beautiful renditions of holiday favorites and winter classics. The recital, held in-person, saw an enthusiastic audience of 45 who cheered on the students’ efforts. The performances were a testament to the students’ hard work and festive spirit. Our Halloween 2022 Studio Recital was a spooky delight! Held on Zoom, the recital featured 18 performers who embraced the Halloween spirit with themed costumes and decorations. Students performed eerie and fun pieces that perfectly matched the festive mood. With over 35 attendees, including friends and family from across the country, the recital was a fantastic celebration of music and Halloween. It was a joy to see everyone together again at our Spring 2022 Studio Recital on Zoom! We had 14 performers, each presenting pieces they had diligently prepared over the course of the semester. The recital featured a diverse range of music, from Classical to contemporary, showcasing the students’ growth and versatility. With an audience of over 50, the event was filled with applause and encouragement. Congratulations to all the performers for their dedication and exceptional performances!
Our Holiday 2021 Studio Recital was a festive success! Held on Zoom, we had 18 performers showcasing a variety of Holiday classics and winter-themed pieces. The virtual event allowed family and friends from around the world to join, bringing our audience to over 40 attendees. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season, and the students’ hard work and talents truly shone through in their performances. Special thanks to everyone who participated and supported our event. Our Spring piano recital on Zoom was a success! We had 12 performers, and at least 32 people in attendance–so grateful to everyone for contributing their hard work and your talents 🙂
