How It Works
If you’ve never studied piano before, we’ll start from the very beginning with the layout of the keyboard, finger numbers, and a few simple songs on the black keys, before going more in-depth with the music alphabet, the staff, and the basics of music notation. Many adult beginners can play “Ode to Joy” by the end of their very first lesson.
If you’ve studied piano before and are returning to it after years away, or just looking for a different approach, we’ll begin by figuring out where you are now and come up with a course of action for the first few weeks. From there, it’s up to you how far you go!

“I had been hesitant to start lessons as an adult beginner, but Ezra has been very encouraging and supportive, helping me to build my confidence. He provides constructive feedback and has been very patient with reviewing concepts if I don’t understand something right away. It’s been a great experience!”

“Ezra is an excellent teacher because he is very focused on clearly and slowly explaining the information my daughter needs to understand in order to learn the piano well. He’s very friendly and also very professional, in the way that is required to have a productive lesson.”

“My 4 year old daughter had a few lessons with him and she loves it! She just started learning piano and I believe that having a good teacher is very important to keep her interested in and motivated. He’s very professional, sweet, and organized with great personal communication skill. Highly recommended!”

“Ezra is amazing with my two kiddos, 10 and almost 13. I’m glad to have the option to support their musical development, despite our choice to be virtual for school and most activities. I definitely notice their improvement, since beginning lessons with Ezra. He is always happy to see them and encourages and challenges them without pushing them so hard that they want to quit. Working with him has been a great experience for all of us!”
